St Peter and Paul Cathedral | Ennis Cathedral

Ennis Cathedral. The Cathedral of Saints Peter and Paul (also known as Ennis Cathedral), is the cathedral church of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Killaloe. It is located in Ennis, County Clare, Ireland.

Ennis Cathedral was built 1830-1845. Designed by Dominic Madden, with spires and porches added to design of JJ McCarthy in 1871. Freestanding T-plan Roman Catholic diocesan pro-cathedral, designed by Dominic Madden and built 1831-42, with spire and porches added in 1871 to designs by J.J.

Built between 1828 and 1842, following the repeal of the penal laws, the Cathedral of Saints Peter & Paul is certainly worth a visit.
